01 / 08Artwork → physical sample
See your graphic on a real deck.
Start with your latest artwork and board reference.
An artwork file becomes useful when you can judge it on a physical deck. XBound can review a suitable graphic method and prepare a sample for placement, surface appearance and edge detail. A sample that its owner has allowed us to show can illustrate the result without displaying your artwork.
02 / 0801 / Artwork reference
Start with the artwork, placement and colour reference.
Send a source file or usable export, the intended print area and placement dimensions or a marked board, plus a colour reference if colour matters. We also need permission to use the design for this project. Public display permission is a separate choice.
03 / 0802 / Method
Choose the graphic method for the effect you want.
For screen, transfer or UV graphics, begin with the effect you want on the board. If your brief calls for laser marking, include that requirement so the manufacturing route can be checked for this project. Compare the chosen method and its physical result for detail, colour where applicable, and coverage.
Compare the actual process detail with the board result before choosing what the first sample should test.
04 / 0803 / Surface
The base board changes the finished appearance.
Put the physical colour or material reference beside the deck when discussing the intended look. The printed board sample is where placement and appearance can be judged together. Confirm colour expectations from the sample, not from a screen preview alone.
05 / 0804 / Sample review
Inspect placement, coverage and edges on the sample.
A decorated sample gives you specific points to comment on: artwork position, how the edge meets the shape and the surface at close range. Allow approximately 7–10 days for printed or laser-decorated sample preparation, separate from transport.

06 / 0805 / Revision
Compare the changed artwork with both physical samples.
Pair the earlier and revised artwork with their corresponding decorated samples. Review what changed in placement, detail or method on the physical boards before agreeing on the next version.
07 / 0806 / Presentation
Carry the approved look into packaging.
Once the board sample has been reviewed, discuss pack format, print area and protection as a separate physical outcome. A physical pack proposal beside the board can make the presentation decision concrete.
08 / 08Start the first sample
Start with the artwork and the first result to inspect.
Share a file you may use for this project, the intended board, desired effect and the details the first sample should answer. XBound can discuss method fit, sample review and open packaging choices from that brief.
