Production management

Four handovers that keep the order coherent.

The product reference, production work, inspection findings and packing information need to stay connected throughout the run.

Product review & approval

The technical handover brings construction, geometry, artwork and components into one build reference. The approved physical sample shows the appearance and fit to be carried into production.

Production coordination

Pressing, machining, finishing and packing have different dependencies. Order quantities and approved variants define the work to be coordinated; a change to the build requires a review of the affected stages and timing.

Quality review & exceptions

Material, process and finished-product checks identify issues at different stages. A deviation needs its affected product reference, finding, proposed correction and agreed resolution kept together before dispatch.

Packing & repeat-order handover

Variant identity, set contents, carton quantity and protection connect the batch to the shipping instruction. A repeat order starts from the approved product reference, with any material, artwork or component change reviewed explicitly.

A clear record connects each handover.

Product approval, production changes and final inspection need to refer to the same order and version.

Specification & approved sample

Construction, geometry, components, artwork version and packing reference define the build being approved. This is the reference for comparing the sample with later production.

Production & change reference

Order stages & revisions

Order quantity, product version, production stage and any agreed change belong together. A revision review identifies its effect on the product, cost and dispatch plan.

Inspection & packing release

Findings & shipment handover

Inspection scope, findings, agreed resolution and packing details connect the finished batch to its dispatch decision. Open issues need a clear disposition before shipment.

Make a revision visible on the board.

A changed outline or graphic position needs a clear reference. Bring the revision back to the physical sample so that the discussion stays attached to the part the buyer will receive.

Keep the sample question separate from transit.

Plain samples without graphics normally take about 3–5 days. Printed or laser-decorated samples normally take about 7–10 days. Confirm the scope and timing for your project; transit is additional.

Carry the version through packing.

The approved board and the carton need to describe the same order. Confirm the variant mix, labels and packing requirements with the product specification before the production brief is closed.
